Have you ever heard of the outdoor game called KanJam? Camp counselors at Deer Valley YMCA Family Camp in Pennsylvania first introduced me to this game a few years ago. I loved it immediately. Josie’s brothers and their guests play it after their Easter lunch in Forever Music.
Sometimes we play it on the beach. Other times, we read. (I was too busy playing the game to snap a picture of our game, unfortunately.)
To play the game, teams of two players compete against each other. Players throw a Frisbee toward the plastic can, aiming for the slot in the side. Score points by getting the Frisbee into the top of the can, hitting the can, or winning the game by sliding the Frisbee into the opening. Those are the rules we play by and the ones on the website, but other people have their own rules, I’ve heard.
I love this game. I’ve actually sailed the Frisbee through the slit a couple of times…just not during games!
What kind of outdoor games do you and your friends and family like to play?
