Another Thanksgiving has just passed. We had a rollicking, loud time with 43 people for lunch and four more showing up for dessert and a massive game of capture the flag in the afternoon. We had Army and Air Force well represented. We had ages from two to eighty-five.
We had food times many bowls and dishes and platters. Did you notice the braided lattice work on the right side of the apple pie? Magazine idea!
We had a large time. Here are some pictures of that special day.
We have more of a potluck kind of affair instead of a beautiful table with the turkey near the host.
Starting at the bottom: Derby Pie, Buttermilk Custard Pie, Pumpkin Pie with Pie Crust Cutouts, and the Apple Pie. A pumpkin roll and a chocolate cake were on the kitchen counter.
Anna dubbed Table One as “the quiet room.”
The round kitchen table with Army and Air Force.
The third table with three generations represented.
Table Four with mostly Air Force.
Tables Five and Six–Go Army!
I hope your Thanksgiving was as full as ours was!
