It’s the end of January, and I’m sharing sights from my recent walk. I’m excited to see these brave flowers show their colors soon!
Daffodils peeking their heads above ground in January aren’t too surprising in North Carolina. We usually get them early in the year.
But the next blooms shocked me into writing this post.
Dianthus blooming in January? What?
Yes, we’ve had some spring-like days, but we’ve had temperatures in the teens also. Extended low temperatures, in fact, in December.
This courageous little plant sports a few colorful blossoms to remind us spring is coming! The world keeps turning, folks. God is still in control no matter what craziness abounds in the world.
(One caveat: I’d still love to see some snow around here. Is that terrible? Daffodils are tough.)
