Can you guess where I’ve traveled to in September?
Would this picture help?
How about this one?
Surely, you’ve guessed by now, but here’s another that will certainly give the location away.
Yes! Merry Old England.
London in September turned out to be delightful! The sun shined every day. Temperatures hovered around eighty degrees during the day. Seriously.
We’ve visited England before, so we toured different places this time. One day we hiked for what seemed like three miles from our hotel to a famous London bookstore.
Look at all the books and interesting nooks and crannies and different levels inside. This picture shows just one part of Daunt Books.
A train ride brought us to another new site. Here’s a street scene and a bit of the lovely countryside from Haworth, England–hometown of the famous Bronte sisters.
Paying homage to Charlotte Bronte, author of my favorite novel, Jane Eyre, at The Bronte Parsonage and Museum made me so happy. We viewed pictures, artifacts, and even handwritten manuscripts displayed in their house.
We spent the bulk of our travels in London, then we traveled to Scotland for the first time. Kevin’s posing with a bagpiper statue at the Edinburgh Castle.
Hordes of people swarmed in the streets of Edinburgh even in the cooler, wetter weather. So. Many. People!
Here’s the happy traveling couple on riding the train to Scotland.
