May is here again. I always thought that May is as busy as December with all of its end-of-the-year concerts and programs and recitals and presentations and final ballgames. This year will certainly prove to be no different for us. We’ll be celebrating three graduations. Yes, that’s right. Three. And thank Goodness, they’re all on different weekends.
A daughter will graduate first with a Master’s degree in elementary education with a STEM concentration from High Point University. Yea! Maybe North Carolina will wake up soon and compensate teachers who go the extra mile expending energy and hard work and sweat and tears and brain power to learn more so that they can be better teachers. Maybe.
Then a son comes next with a degree in Chinese from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, or as he likes to say, the University of National Champions thanks to the latest NCAA win during March Madness. The day before graduation, he’ll be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the US Army.
Finally, his twin will graduate with a degree in Arabic from the US Military Academy at West Point. He’ll also commission as a second lieutenant.
So. Big doings at our house. Lots of travel. Lots of excitement. Lots of changes.
I hope May will be a happy month for you!
