Mary Wade teaches a Girl Scout group to crochet in Rescued Hearts. I loved my experience as a Girl Scout. Here’s a picture of the group with whom I camped, sold cookies, and earned badges.
To protect the innocent, I’ll leave out the names of these cute girls, except for me. I confess. I’m sitting on top of the sign. Can you tell which one I am? Here’s a hint. I don’t have pig tails.
I also loved being a co-leader for one of my daughters and introducing both her and her sister to a positive organization for girls. Mary Wade’s heart for service led her to teach a skill to the girls although she didn’t have a daughter in the group.
S’mores and hobo packs. Lady Slipper flowers and fire starters. Taps and Punchinello. If you were a Girl Scout (or Boy Scout or Indian guide), what are some of your favorite memories?
