Forever Home is my latest novel, the third in the Forever Home series. It’s Sam Daniels’ story, the one I tried to write during the pandemic but got stuck, then wrote his brother Ben’s story instead.
Last Saturday, I found out the happy news by accident. I had taken a break in the afternoon and scrolled Facebook for a few minutes. My publisher posted a congratulations to me. My first thought was that I had won a book from a blog, but, no. I was wrong.
My book had been selected as one of ten finalists for the Director’s Choice Award at the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference.
What?
I thought they’d already been announced weeks ago.
The award will be given on Wednesday, May 31st, at BRMCWC in Asheville, North Carolina. Whatever happens that night, I’m grateful other people liked the story. I’m grateful that Sam’s story is resonating with people. I’m grateful that I get to write stories that mention God and His love.
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!
