In North Carolina, we’re still in the modified phase two of reopening the state. Some businesses are open, but libraries aren’t fully functional yet. I wanted to have a book launch at my public library. Since that may not happen for a good while, I thought of the next best place, my Little Free Library at the end of my driveway! Our drive-by Covid-style book launch turned out to be quite successful
A sweet friend, Susan, brought a gorgeous flower arrangement she created from her garden. These pictures don’t do the flowers justice, unfortunately.
We didn’t get pictures of Kevin and Joe, the traffic control boys or the orange cones they set up to slow down traffic on our country road, but the cones and yellow caution tape were a big help.
Some people stayed in their cars, and I brought the books to them. Others got out to visit and have quick, side hugs.
Family, high school friends, church family, neighbors, plus a few new-to-me friends dropped by to make it a fun afternoon. Thank you to everyone who came to the drive-by book launch for Forever Music!
