Mary Wade is a children’s clothing designer, and crochet plays a part in some of her designs. I love crocheting hats for babies and sometimes include them in the new baby gift.
Here are a few pictures of the latest ones.

A bunny hat.
The pattern is really easy. Use your own beanie pattern or try the one below. I use Simply Soft yarn by Caron and a sized H or 5mm hook.

Here’s a tutorial if you want to watch a video. The video shows crocheting the beanie, the ears, and sewing on the ears.
Add the ears that go with the animal you want to create.
Bunny ears—
Chain 10 in pink yarn.
Crochet DC in 3rd stitch and continue to end of chain.
Attach white yarn.
Crochet white DC in each pink DC along one side.
At top, crochet 3 DC in same stitch.
Continue with DC to the other end.
Fasten off and attach to beanie.
Make two ears.
Bear ears—Here’s a video that shows how to make only the ears.
These are quick, but quick-to-crochet patterns. Enjoy!
