Oops. I guess I took a break from blogging because I missed the whole month of February, and here we are at the end of March. I’ve been focusing on other things (and sometimes not focusing at all to be honest). I’ve decided to share some pictures of one thing I’ve accomplished.
I began crocheting the motifs for this asymmetrical cardigan last June during our week at Deer Valley. Crocheting the motifs while we traveled and chatted with friends at camp helped me accomplish a lot in that week.
Then last fall I began arranging the small flowers and wheels and large daisies into the cardigan shape on painter’s paper. Yes, on top of my kitchen table. Yes, my husband is patient and kind. We ate our meals at the island/bar while the motifs waited for my attention.
Once I positioned the motifs, I safety-pinned them together and sewed a few together but didn’t finish it.
That means I had to roll up the whole project and put it away for all the fall and winter holidays. (Happy Thanksgiving! Merry Christmas!)
A few weeks ago, I brought the pinned-together project back to the table and began sewing them together right on top of it. Then I shaped it into a cardigan and sewed the side and arm seams with it draped over Anna’s dress form.
Then I wore it to church on the first Sunday in March!
Now a couple of other half-finished projects are calling my name! Are you working on anything?
