I’m thinking about my blessings. Here is an incomplete list of gifts for which I’m grateful:
Jesus Christ and His obedience on the cross
the Holy Spirit
my salvation (and my family’s)
my parents’ Christian legacy
my brother and his family
my husband and his family
Anna
Hattie
Lane
Quinn
(the next ones are in no particular order)
my warm, cozy house
friends all over the world
lifetime friends
new friends
my writing journey
writing friends
my published books
readers
baking
cooking
crocheting with dear people every week
a car that works every time I turn it on
food in my refrigerator and pantry
the fox squirrels that live in the woods beside my house
my piano
my health
my church family
snail mail
texts from my children with links to things they know I’ll like
hosting for holidays
my children still come home for the holidays
I’ll stop here, but I could go on. Take a minute during this Thanksgiving season to ponder on your blessings. Then write them down. Make this activity a regular event in your quiet time. Maybe make it a New Year’s resolution!
