I hope you had a wonderful Easter at church and with family and friends. We did.
The Stats
We had forty-seven (47) people here ringing in age from two weeks to late seventies.
I know. It sounds sort of ridiculous (and it’s taken several days for me to recover), but everyone brings at least one dish. The weather was beautiful, so the back porch accommodated several young people. We set up three extra tables, and everyone had a seat and plenty of food.
We had the traditional egg hunt along with one game of capture the flag, plus several rounds of corn hole. The temperature climbed into the 80’s, so a few hardy souls jumped into the pool.
The Gifts
When I hear that people are asking if I’ve invited them yet, when I hear that people can’t wait to come to our house, when I hear my son (who brought twelve Army friends with him) say, “it was a great time. My friends loved it. Thank you, Mother!”, I. Am. Blessed. Thank you, Jesus, for ALL your gifts.
The Helpers
These two were able to make it home and helped with the cleaning, the cooking, and the hosting. Their two siblings had to stay in Pittsburgh and South Korea. Of course, their dad helped, too, but we didn’t get a picture of him!
