Here we are at the end of April, and I haven’t done a good job of writing for the blog. I’ve been working hard on Heath’s story which is due to my publisher on June 30th.
We had what some people might call gully washers overnight and all morning. The sun is out now and warming up the earth, a gorgeous day in eastern North Carolina.
The rainy days make for beautiful blooms, like the one from our front walkway. The bulb for this fantastic purple iris came from the garden of my former Girl Scout leader, Loleta Powell. Mrs. Powell grew iris bulbs and Hosta plants. In fact, she enjoyed quite a respected reputation for her contributions to horticulture.
Enjoy this beautiful flower!

Lovely and thinking of you as you write Heath’s story. I’m realizing my fav. way to get to know author friends better is to read their books. I LOVED Irish Encounter, although I’m not a romance fan ’cause I’ve needed to be single all these years. Now I’m into your suspense and see some very fine writing. Kudos. I’m watching, learning, enjoying. I’m adding to my Amish book today and made a start on a 5,000-8,000 word story to be in a suspense anthology–all female versions of Jack Reacher. Mine has some anchoring due based on an Army M.P. friend formerly based in Iraq who came home w/ serious PTSD. Life brings us interesting experiences and the end result of His restoration is fascinating people.
