I’m begining a new journey–writing fiction–inspirational romance to be exact. Never saw that path on the horizon. Answering romance writer for the occupation blank on questionnaires feels a little strange. Actually saying the words out loud to people feels stranger. Writing romance seems fluffy, maybe frivolous, and yet this is the path God’s set me on.
I saw a Jane Austen quotation painted on a wall in the Salt Lake City airport a couple of years ago. It read, “Let other pens dwell on guilt and misery.” I like that quotation, so I’m going to write what I’m supposed to write and focus on happy endings, like the one that’s waiting for me in Heaven.
